Note :

  • Marriage Solemnized After Retirement Such marriage with effect from 02 June 1989 has been recognized for grant of ordinary Family Pension on fulfillment of following conditions :

  • The marriage of the individual is the first marriage and is solemnized within five years from the date of retirement or before attaining the age of 45 years, whichever is earlier

  • The marriage is registered with the Registrar of Marriage or other competent authority.

  • Division of Special Family Pension

Pension sanctioning Authority i.e. The PCDA (Pension), Allahabad, CDA (Navy) Bombay or CDA (Air Force), New Delhi through Record Office/Head of Office

  • Issue of duplicate Pension Payment Order (Duplicate PPO)

Bank, Treasury or Pension Disbursing Office may be asked to forward loss Certificate to The PCDA (Pension), Allahabad, CDA (Navy) Bombay or CDA (Air Force), New Delhi as the case may be with a certificate of No payment.

Pension Payment Agencies Pension awards to defense pensioners are being paid by the following agencies :

  • Public Sector Banks

  • District or Sub Treasuries

  • Defence Pension Disbursing Offices ( DPDO)

  • Pay Account Offices

  • Post Office

Please Not that :

  • Service Pension is admissible on completion of 15 years qualifying colour service in the case of Junior Commissioned Officers and Person below Officers Rank and 20 years in the case of Non Combatant Enrolls.

  • Reservist Pension is admissible on completion of 15 years of colour and Reserve Service.

  • Invalid Pension is admissible to those invaded out of services on account of causes neither attributable to nor aggravated by Military service if they have rendered 10 years or more service.

  • Disability Pension is granted due to a disability of 20% or more, which is accepted as attributable to or aggravated by Military Service.

  • Families of Personnel whose death is accepted as due to or hastened by Military service are eligible for the grant of special family pension.

  • No Pension is admissible as per extent rules to those who have rendered short spell of service during the 2nd World War.

Remarks

  • Complaint Related to grant/revision:

  • For redressal of their grievances relating to pension sanction/revision,
    individual should first approach his Head of Office/ Record Office
    from where he retired/discharged, as the claims are initiated by them
    to the office of the PCDA (P).

  • Except in the case of Commissioned Officers who’s PPOs are
     sent by PCDA (P) direct to PDAs and they can write to
    Grant- I Military section.

  • In case of Air Force Officers and personnel discharged on or
    after 1.11.85, complaints/grievances may be addressed
    to DCDA (AF), Subroto Park, Delhi Cantt., as they are t
    he concerned Pension Sanctioning Authorities.

  • In case of Naval officers/ personnel discharged on
    or after 1.11.85 the complaints may be addressed to
    CDA (Navy), No. 1, Cooperage Road, Mumbai-400039
    as they are the concerned Pension Sanctioning Authorities. 

  • In case it is informed by your Head of Office/ Record Office
    that your pension case is pending with Pr. CDA (P),
    Allahabad, then please quote letter No. and date under
    which claim has been sent to this office and also
    quote your original PPO number in case the complaint
    relates to revision or issue of corrigendum PPO.
